More than 90% of people over 40 think they have to spend hours at the gym to get the results they want.
They believe they need to sacrifice their valuable time for hours of workouts to be strong, lean and pain-free.
As someone who’s been on a personal journey of fitness discovery, I understand the challenges that come with a bustling life, especially once you hit your fabulous 40s (yes, I’m there too!).
That’s why I founded the London Kettlebell Club—to make fitness accessible, enjoyable and effective for busy people just like you and me.
Maybe you’ve dabbled in endurance training or tried the gym scene, only to find it time-consuming and, let’s be honest, a tad boring.
But what if I told you there’s a better way? You don’t need to commit hours on end at the gym to become stronger, leaner, flexible and kick those pains to the curb.
But first, let me take you back to the beginning of my journey.
Not too long ago, I found myself yearning for a portable workout solution that fit seamlessly into my routine. That’s when I stumbled upon the incredible world of kettlebell training. It was a game-changer that has since transformed my daily routine and allowed me to squeeze in efficient and short workouts very early in the mornings, when my family was still in bed.
I cannot describe the satisfaction of working on my health for those 30-40 minutes while the rest of the world is still asleep. It’s amazing. To be honest, it transformed my mornings, my days, and in turn, my years.
After being diagnosed with osteoarthritis in both knees, I couldn’t have imagined that training with kettlebells and adding mobility exercises to the mix was going to change my life. This allowed me to keep on practising boxing, kickboxing and Brazilian jiu-jitsu, the sports I love the most.
I vividly recall the days when an 8 kg kettlebell felt like a Herculean challenge. It’s a bit embarrassing to watch those early videos (like the ones on the right), but you know what? That’s the beauty of progress.
Fast forward, and I’m now rocking exercises with 20 kg and 24 kg kettlebells. Believe me, the feeling of progress is nothing short of stimulating. It’s all part of the process, and that process has led me to where I am now. Strong, confident, and hungry for more. It’s a journey that keeps evolving, and I believe you can experience the same sense of empowerment.
